About Us

LeGrand Artisan Sweets was born out of pure love for delicious, healthy treats and philanthropic passion. Regina Le-Grand-Sawyer, culinary creator and visionary, was born in Accra, Ghana West Africa. She moved to the US at a tender age.. She grew up cooking and baking African, American and Caribbean Cuisine. She appreciated the notion that food is a science. and art. She experimented with different spices and other binding ingredients. She developed formulas for cakes, cookies and many desserts.

Graduated with a degree in Social Work, her passion for baking was never far. behind.  Food being  essential to our existence,  adding a sweet treat is always a bonus. Africa is known for some of the most delicious foods, desserts and spices. She studied the works of  Legendary Chef Leah Chase, Edna Lewis, Ron Ben Israel and Sylvia Weinstock. Regina's artistry encompasses all the African and Western culinary artisan. Her eye for beauty, elegance and perfection is impeccable. She ensures all the products and Ingredients used in baking and packaging are organically and ethnically influenced. 

Her passion transcends cake design  she is also passionate about social and economic justice for all, especially the Indigenous and people of African descent. She believes hard work, love, compassion and empathy are essential to healthy living. 

Her  priority is making the most delicious, healthy and love filled sweets and delivering excellent customer service.

Our products are delicious, we stand behind our brand and are committed to race, gender, social and economic changes in our community. That is why we have partnered with some of our distinguished organizations such as thewisefund.org to contribute to the empowerment of black and brown women in promoting social,  eco-health solutions to climate change  which directly impacts the economic and physical well-being of Indigenous and African descent. Portion of our proceeds will be donated.
